GUIDELINES

Are you an artist or photographer who has taken a Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual or Transsexual-themed picture? Your art could be featured by a popular internet author.

Dark genre author Kody Boye, author of Inner Demons is looking for GLBT art that promotes the culture, people, lifestyle, love, and anything else about the GLBT community in a positive, solid way. Pictures will be featured on a special ‘Proud’ page. The ‘Proud’ page will be where the art of the GLBT culture will be featured.

Why have your art featured on the Inner Demons serial novel blog?
- Inner Demons is a novel that is about gay characters, their trials within their own personal love and the outer forces that try to destroy the powerful connection of love.

- The website is geared in a positive direction in the GLBT community.

- Features an activism page (Support Pride) where Boye interviews individuals that are positive in the GLBT community, writes articles on happenings, and displays emails that he has sent to help better the GLBT community.

- With three-thousand blog views since January, Inner Demons is a blog that‘s getting attention. It‘ll get your art some attention too.

So, how do you get your art featured on the PROUD page?

Here are the guidelines:

1. Your work MUST, and I repeat, MUST be 300 DPI in quality. I don’t want any 91 DPI images, no 150 DPI images; I want 300 DPI images. I WILL CHECK the DPI of the images before they are posted to the page, and if I find they are lesser, I will delete your email without replying to you.

2. Your work MUST have a positive impact on GLBT culture. If your art features violence of any kind, it MUST show a positive impact. (EX: A group of bullies are picking on a gay teenager. The words ‘Don’t fear Queer: We all live here’ are on the bottom of the page.) If you feel like your image has a positive impact but aren’t sure if it’s too graphic, send it in with ‘query on image’ with your email. I’ll reply back and tell you if it’s too violent or not.

3. I WILL NOT post art that says KILL THE FAG or anything like that. If you’re going to be like that, don’t even begin to submit.

4. Your images will be arranged according to their shape, but don’t worry! I’m not going to change their shapes. I will, however, resize them to fit the blog’s layout.

5. I will upload all submissions I approve to my photobucket account and attach a link to where the image can be viewed (may this be a deviantart, a website, etc.)

6. You may, at any time, have your image removed from the blog. I won’t question your reason.

So, if you’d like to submit your art to Kody Boye’s PROUD page on his Inner Demons serial novel blog, send your submissions with ‘ PROUD SUBMISSION’ as your subject line to kodyboye(at)q.com. (Switch at with the actual @ symbol.) Please be sure to include your link to where your image can be viewed. (Failure to have a working link will result in image getting deleted and email not being replied to.)
